Administrator account creation via forged user-save request
Published May 5, 2025 · Updated May 5, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in SourceCodester Stock Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts via a forged POST. The /classes/Users.php?f=save handler accepts browser-submitted user data and creates a type=1 account without validating an anti-CSRF token or request origin. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to load attacker-controlled content, after which the new account grants full application access.
