CVE-2025-4227

Packet interception via incomplete tunnel enforcement

Published Jun 13, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025

Cleartext transmission in Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect App allows physically proximate attackers to intercept unencrypted packets. Endpoint Traffic Policy Enforcement leaves certain packets outside the encrypted tunnel instead of applying the configured traffic protection. Exposure requires an affected Windows or macOS release with the feature enabled and a rogue device on the physical network; normal operation recovers within one minute.
