Authenticated path traversal via file_name parameter
Published May 2, 2025 · Updated May 2, 2025
Path traversal in Qianxin Wangshen SecGate 3600 Firewall 2024 allows remote authenticated users to escape an intended directory via crafted file_name input. The export-save route uses the attacker-controlled file_name value in filesystem path resolution without limiting the result to its intended directory. Low-privileged authentication is required; published sources do not identify the reachable files or whether the operation reads, writes, or deletes them.
