Authenticated arbitrary file overwrite via unchecked restore archive
Published Mar 9, 2026 · Updated Mar 9, 2026
Path traversal in MBS UBR firmware before 6.0.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite arbitrary system files. The elevated ubr-restore process extracts file paths from user-supplied backup archives without validating where they resolve. A low-privileged web account and restore access suffice, enabling modification of scripts, credentials, configuration, and network filters.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
