CVE-2025-41732Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via check_cookie overflow

Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in WAGO Industrial Managed Switches before 02.64 allows remote attackers to execute code via HTTP requests. The lighttpd check_cookie() function uses unsafe sscanf calls to copy attacker-controlled cookie data into fixed-size stack buffers without bounds enforcement. The web interface exposes the parser without authentication or user interaction, enabling full device compromise or a persistent interface outage requiring manual intervention.
