CVE-2025-41705Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential disclosure via unauthenticated WebSocket messages

Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Credential exposure in Phoenix Contact QUINT4-UPS EIP before VC:07 allows remote attackers to obtain Webfrontend passwords via WebSocket. The unauthenticated /ws/quint endpoint sends a JSON WebSocket message containing the Webfrontend password without transport protection. A legitimate Webfrontend login must occur while the attacker has network access to the device; exposure grants the credentials but does not interrupt UPS operation.
