User-context command execution via crafted SUO settings
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 9, 2025
Deserialization of untrusted data in Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 Engineering before 3.1.4024.67 allows attackers to execute commands via project files. Crafted Solution User Options (.suo) settings are loaded with a project and interpreted so that attacker-selected commands execute. Exploitation requires a local user to open the manipulated project, and commands then run with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
