Root command execution via unsanitized event_mail_test input
Published Jul 23, 2025 · Updated Jul 23, 2025
OS command injection in affected Weidmüller IE-SR-2TX routers allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands as root. The Main Web Interface's event_mail_test endpoint passes user-controlled input to an operating-system command without proper sanitization. A valid web-interface session is required; firmware before 1.49 on IE-SR-2TX-WL and before 1.62 on both 4G variants is affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
