CVE-2025-41663Network attack vector

Elevated command execution via unsanitized JSON-RPC responses

Published Jun 11, 2025 · Updated Jul 24, 2025

OS command injection in Weidmüller IE-SR-2TX router firmware allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. The u-link client places attacker-controlled fields from WWH server JSON-RPC responses into shell commands without sanitization. Exploitation requires a man-in-the-middle position created by an insecure client proxy configuration; successful commands run with elevated device privileges.
