CVE-2025-41654Network attack vector

Process disclosure and reboot via unauthenticated SNMP

Published May 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025

Missing authentication in Pepperl+Fuchs Profinet Gateway firmware before 1.3.13 allows remote attackers to read process data over SNMP. The SNMP service returns information about running processes without authenticating the requester, and a sufficiently large response activates the watchdog and reboots the gateway. Network reachability to SNMP is sufficient; the documented effects are process-information disclosure and a device reboot, with no reported data modification.
