Unauthenticated service interruption via cmd input validation
Published May 27, 2025 · Updated May 27, 2025
Improper input validation in Weidmüller industrial Ethernet switches allows remote attackers to disrupt device operations. The cmd services accept a specified input type without adequate validation; the vendor has not disclosed the exact malformed field or failure path. The service is network-reachable without authentication, and exploitation affects availability only by interrupting switch operation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
