CVE-2025-41421

Local privilege escalation via update-path symlink spoofing

Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Oct 1, 2025

Improper link handling in TeamViewer Full Client and Host 11.0.0 through versions before 15.70 allows local users to escalate privileges. Update-file path handling accepts a spoofed symbolic link and resolves it to an unintended resource instead of rejecting the link. Exploitation requires local unprivileged access and inadequate malware protection, and it can expose sensitive information through elevated access.
