CVE-2025-4142Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via host buffer overflow

Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated May 1, 2025

Buffer overflow in sub_3C8EC in NETGEAR EX6200 1.0.3.94 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted requests. The wireless-security state handler passes the host argument to sub_3C8EC without enforcing the destination buffer's bounds. Administrative access to the extender's web interface is required; an oversized host value can corrupt memory, execute code, or crash the device.
