Unauthenticated service interruption via HTTP/2 requests
Published May 7, 2025 · Updated May 8, 2025
NULL pointer dereference in F5 BIG-IP, BIG-IP Next CNF, and BIG-IP Next SPK allows remote attackers to terminate TMM via requests. With both HTTP/2 client and server profiles attached to a virtual server, an undisclosed request reaches a null pointer dereference in TMM; F5 has not named the pointer or code locus. The request requires that profile configuration and interrupts traffic handled by the terminated TMM.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=15.1.0 <*
- Affected versionversion=16.1.0 <16.1.5
- Affected versionversion=17.1.0 <17.1.2
