Service interruption via SCTP-triggered memory exhaustion

Resource-release failure in F5 BIG-IP products allows remote attackers to exhaust memory through requests to an SCTP-enabled virtual server. F5 has not disclosed the request form or the code locus that fails to release memory; the documented result is rising memory use. The condition is reachable without authentication only when an SCTP profile is configured on a virtual server, and sustained triggering can interrupt service.
