Out-of-bounds read in Ashlar-Vellum desktop CAD products before 12.6.1204.204 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted AR file. The AR-file parser fails to validate user-supplied data before performing an out-of-bounds memory read; no finer code-level locus is public. Execution occurs in the current process after a user opens or imports the file, requiring attacker-controlled file delivery and active user interaction.
