CVE-2025-4139Network attack vector

Authenticated memory corruption via crafted host argument

Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 30, 2025

Buffer overflow in NETGEAR EX6120 1.0.0.68 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory through a crafted host argument. The fwAcosCgiInbound function processes the attacker-controlled host argument without sufficient bounds enforcement, causing data to exceed its memory buffer. Network access and low-privilege authentication are required; successful exploitation compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the extender.
