Stored XSS via unescaped dashboard post titles
Published May 22, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025
Stored XSS in Blog2Social before 8.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser via a post title. The plugin's All Posts dashboard renders contributor-controlled WordPress post titles without output escaping. Contributor access is sufficient to store a payload, but execution requires a victim to open Blog2Social's All Posts page; the script runs in that user's browser context.
