Document disclosure and modification via JWT reuse
Published Mar 18, 2026 · Updated Mar 18, 2026
Authentication bypass in LibreChat 0.8.1-rc2 allows remote authenticated users to access every RAG API endpoint with a session JWT. The recommended Docker Compose setup supplies the same JWT_SECRET to LibreChat and the RAG API, which accepts user session tokens without an audience check. Exploitation requires internal access to the RAG API or a separate path to it and permits reading, replacing, deleting, or uploading documents.
