CVE-2025-41248Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Authorization bypass via unresolved generic method annotations

Published Sep 16, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025

Incorrect authorization in Spring Security 6.4.0 through 6.4.10 and 6.5.0 through 6.5.4 allows remote attackers to bypass method security. UniqueSecurityAnnotationScanner resolves an unbounded generic parameter to null instead of Object, rejects the inherited method match, and misses its security annotation. Exposure requires enabled method security and a secured method declared only in a generic superclass or interface; affected calls can disclose protected data.
