CVE-2025-41240Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via web-root secret mounts

Published Jul 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Credential exposure in three Bitnami Helm charts allows remote attackers to retrieve Kubernetes Secrets through HTTP/S. The charts mount password files beneath predictable /opt/bitnami/*/secrets paths inside each application's web document root, allowing direct URL retrieval. Exposure requires an externally reachable deployment with usePasswordFiles=true, the default, and discloses credentials stored in the mounted files.
