JavaScript execution via client path traversal redirect
Published May 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Grafana allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted frontend-plugin redirect. Client path traversal reaches an open redirect that accepts an external plugin location instead of restricting plugin loading to the Grafana origin. A victim must follow the link; anonymous access removes the login gate, the default CSP blocks the XSS, and an installed Image Renderer enables full-read SSRF.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
