Remote memory corruption via unchecked host argument
Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Buffer overflow in NETGEAR JWNR2000v2 1.0.0.11 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted host parameter. The check_language_file function processes the host argument without enforcing the destination buffer's bounds, causing an overflow. Exploitation requires low-privileged access to the router interface; no more specific post-overflow consequence has been published.
