Stored XSS via unsanitized trace HTML rendering
Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026
Stored XSS in Grafana and Grafana Enterprise allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in a trace viewer's browser via malicious trace data. The TraceView KeyValuesTable sends unsanitized stack-trace values to React's dangerouslySetInnerHTML, which treats them as executable markup. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled JavaScript in a Jaeger HTTP stack-trace field and a user who opens the trace, exposing that user's Grafana-origin data and actions; Jaeger gRPC and Tempo are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=12.2.0 <12.2.4+security-01
- Affected versionversion=12.3.0 <12.3.2+security-01
