Stored XSS via unsanitized Global Element text
Published Oct 10, 2025 · Updated Oct 10, 2025
Stored XSS in Xibo Signage Xibo CMS before 4.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via template text. The Templates workflow stores an unsanitized Text value in a Global Element and later renders the payload as executable browser content. Template-creation access and passive interaction by a later viewer are required; Xibo Signage states that its content tools intentionally permit JavaScript.
