Stored script execution via file path parameter
Published Dec 4, 2025 · Updated Dec 4, 2025
Stored XSS in Seafile before 12.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in a victim's browser through the file API. The file endpoint stores the POST p path parameter without neutralizing script content before it is rendered to another user. A low-privileged account can plant the payload, but a victim must open the affected resource; resulting code runs only in that browser context.
