Authenticated reflected XSS via unvalidated debug-log input
Published Sep 4, 2025 · Updated Sep 4, 2025
Reflected XSS in appRain CMF 4.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser via the s parameter. The /apprain/developer/debug-log/db handler reflects the s parameter into an HTML response without proper validation or output neutralization. A valid session and user interaction are required; successful exploitation exposes or modifies data accessible to the victim's browser context.
