Published Sep 4, 2025 · Updated Sep 4, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in appRain CMF 4.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The /apprain/admin/filemanager endpoint accepts data[FileManager][search] without proper validation and stores it for later rendering. The attack requires authenticated access and passive interaction by another user, exposing browser-session data and actions to injected script.
