Session-cookie theft via stored project messages
Published Oct 2, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025
Stored XSS in Creativeitem Ekushey Project Manager CRM 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to steal session cookies via project messages. The project_message/add endpoint stores the POST message parameter without proper validation, causing crafted content to execute when an authenticated user views it. A low-privileged account must submit the message and another authenticated user must view it; the resulting script can read session cookies and alter page content.
