Cross-site scripting via incomplete input neutralization
Published Nov 17, 2025 · Updated Nov 17, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Siemens Mendix RichText 4.0.0 through 4.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The version 4 widget's input sanitizer fails to neutralize attacker-controlled rich-text markup before converting it to HTML rendered directly in the application page rather than a sandboxed frame. Low-privileged access and victim interaction are required; exploitation exposes data available to the victim's browser context without reported integrity or availability impact.
