CVE-2025-40831Network attack vector

Report-generation denial of service via invalid date

Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Dec 9, 2025

Improper input validation in Siemens SINEC Security Monitor before 4.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt report generation. The report-generation functionality accepts a date parameter without validating it, allowing a crafted value to trigger the denial-of-service condition. Low-privileged access to the network-facing application is required, and the reported consequence is limited to report functionality rather than the entire monitoring service.
