CVE-2025-40811

Code execution via out-of-bounds PRT file read

Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Siemens Solid Edge SE2024 and SE2025 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted PRT file. The PRT parser reads beyond an allocated buffer boundary when it processes malformed file data; Siemens has not identified the affected function. Affected releases are SE2024 before V224.0 Update 14 and SE2025 before V225.0 Update 6; exploitation requires opening an untrusted file and can crash the application or run code in the current process context.
