Code execution via out-of-bounds PRT write
Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens Solid Edge SE2024 and SE2025 allows attackers to execute code by convincing a user to open a crafted PRT file. The PRT parser performs an out-of-bounds memory write while processing attacker-controlled file data; Siemens does not identify the faulty routine. Successful exploitation requires user interaction and runs code in the current process; malformed input can instead crash the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
