Resource exhaustion in Siemens RUGGEDCOM RST2428P all versions allows attackers to interrupt service with high-volume UDP queries. Open UDP discovery services on ports 34964 and 49152–65535 exhaust device resources under sustained query volume; Siemens has not disclosed the responsible handler or allocation behavior. No authentication or user interaction is required, but adjacent-network access and high request volume are necessary; service recovers after traffic stops.
