Improper certificate validation in Siemens engineering products allows remote attackers to intercept or alter SALT authorization traffic. The SALT SDK establishes TLS connections to the authorization server without validating its server certificate, so a forged endpoint is accepted. Exploitation requires a man-in-the-middle network position but no product authentication, and it can expose, modify, or disrupt authorization data.
