Unauthenticated memory corruption via crafted RENAME command
Published Apr 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Buffer overflow in PCMan FTP Server 2.0.0 through 2.0.7 allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory via a crafted RENAME command. The RENAME command handler accepts attacker-controlled command data that exceeds its destination buffer, but the vulnerable function is undisclosed. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation can alter process memory or interrupt the FTP service.
