CVE-2025-40773

Cross-account data manipulation via unchecked user-controlled key

Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Broken access control in Siemens SiPass integrated before 3.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter other users’ data via an API request. The server authorization mechanism processes a user-controlled key in a specific API request without sufficient server-side ownership checks. An authenticated user on an adjacent network can cross account boundaries; Siemens has not disclosed the endpoint or affected data objects.
