CVE-2025-40757Network attack vector

Password database disclosure via unrestricted file access

Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 9, 2025

Information disclosure in all versions of Siemens APOGEE PXC and TALON TC allows remote attackers to download encrypted password databases. Network-connected devices serve sensitive files without access restriction, including an encrypted .db file containing passwords; Siemens does not identify the exposing service or request path. The attack requires network reachability and no authentication, and its reported consequence is encrypted-database disclosure rather than plaintext credential access or device modification.
