CVE-2025-40744Network attack vector

Data interception via improper certificate validation

Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025

Improper certificate validation in Siemens Solid Edge SE2025 before V225.0 Update 11 allows remote attackers to intercept license traffic. The License Service connection accepts an improperly validated certificate, allowing a network-path attacker to interpose on the session. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the attacker must control the communication path; the reported impact is limited to confidentiality loss.
