CVE-2025-40695Network attack vector

Authenticated session-cookie theft via stored request fields

Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Sep 11, 2025

Stored XSS in PHPGurukul Online Fire Reporting System 1.2 allows remote authenticated users to steal session-cookie details via crafted requests. The /ofrs/admin/request-details.php endpoint stores the POST parameters remark, status, and takeaction without properly validating them before their content is rendered to an authenticated user. Low-privileged access and interaction by another authenticated user are required; injected script runs in that viewer's browser context and can expose session-cookie details.
