CVE-2025-40693Network attack vector

Session-cookie theft via unvalidated team fields

Published Sep 11, 2025 · Updated Sep 11, 2025

Stored XSS in PHPGurukul Online Fire Reporting System 1.2 allows remote authenticated users to steal session cookies via team fields. The /ofrs/admin/edit-team.php endpoint stores tname from GET and teamleadname, teammember, and teamname from POST without properly validating or encoding them before later rendering. An attacker needs a low-privileged account, and an authenticated user must view the crafted team content for the script to execute in that user's browser.
