Local privilege escalation via writable scheduled-task executable
Published May 26, 2025 · Updated Jun 6, 2025
Improper permissions in Grupo Espiral MS Panloader.exe 3.15.0.0 allow local users to gain administrator privileges via file replacement. The installation directory lets low-privileged users replace panLoad.exe, which a scheduled task later runs as SYSTEM. Local low-privileged access and write permission to the installation directory are required; successful exploitation executes attacker-controlled code with SYSTEM privileges.
