CVE-2025-40633Network attack vector

Browser script execution via profile-image upload

Published May 20, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025

Stored XSS in Koibox before e8cbce2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted profile image. The /es/dashboard/clientes/ficha/ upload accepts an image containing JavaScript and stores it as a profile picture without neutralizing executable content. A valid account is required, and the payload runs only when another user's browser processes the stored image, limiting direct effects to that browser context.
