Externally controlled format string handling in SonicWall SonicOS 7.2.0-7015 and earlier allows remote attackers to disrupt the SSL VPN service. The SSL VPN interface interprets externally supplied text as a format string instead of treating it solely as data. No authentication or user interaction is required; SonicWall has not disclosed the triggering field or whether disruption is a crash, hang, or reboot.
