Browser script execution via unfiltered state parameter
Published Jul 23, 2025 · Updated Jul 29, 2025
Reflected XSS in SonicWall SMA 100 Series 10.2.1.15-81sv and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted URL. The radiusChallengeLogin CGI endpoint inserts the state query parameter directly into its HTML response without filtering or encoding. A victim must open the crafted URL; the resulting script runs in the appliance origin and can read or alter data available to that browser session.
