Denial of service in Siemens SIPROTEC 5 firmware before 10.0 allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt local USB traffic. The local USB network path fails to throttle high-bandwidth crafted packets, allowing the input to exhaust device memory. Physical access to the USB port is required; the device stops responding on that port and resets automatically, while protection functions remain operational.
