CVE-2025-40569Network attack vector

Configuration overwrite via web-interface race condition

Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2026

A race condition in Siemens SINEC OS switch web interfaces before 3.2 allows remote authenticated users to load attacker-controlled configurations. During Load Configuration from Local PC, unsynchronized competing activity can replace the administrator-selected configuration with attacker-controlled data. Exploitation requires valid access, a legitimate administrator to invoke the function, and success in the race; the resulting impact is unauthorized configuration modification.
