Administrator-gated native code execution via IDOR
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
An IDOR in SolarWinds Serv-U 15.5.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrative privileges to execute native code. SolarWinds has not disclosed the affected object, handler, or authorization operation that accepts an attacker-controlled identifier. Administrative access is required, and execution inherits the Serv-U service account, which is commonly less privileged on Windows.
