Type confusion in SolarWinds Serv-U 15.5.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary native code. SolarWinds has not disclosed the affected component, confused types, or operation that applies an incorrect cast to attacker-controlled data. Administrative privileges are required; successful exploitation runs code as root on Linux and as the configured Serv-U service account on Windows.
