Unauthenticated restricted-component access via CSRF whitelist bypass
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Security control bypass in SolarWinds Web Help Desk 12.8.8 HF1 and earlier allows remote attackers to access restricted components. The checkCsrfTokenWo() filter accepts a bogus query parameter containing /ajax/, bypasses the WebObjects parameter whitelist, and lets wopage instantiate protected component pages such as LoginPref. No authentication is required; the bypass exposes AjaxProxy-backed functionality and can be chained with a separate deserialization flaw for code execution.
